Business Reputation
Don’t destroy your business reputation from your ’sent’ box
Had a great example today that I am sure everyone will relate to:
A well known company sent a mass unpersonalised email out to an ‘Undisclosed Recipient’ list. It came from a name I had never heard from before, it had NO subject line and had a 1.1mb PDF file attached. Needless to say it went into my junk box and had no chance of getting past my 1-Second email attention span and they haven’t got a clue of the outcome of their email campaign.
It is amazing to think the number of people who write an email or try and create some content and then just send it out en-mass, then sit back and wait for the phone to ring! You might just as well throw your cash out of the window!
Talk about how to destroy your own company reputation by email. Needless to say I had to send them a copy of our Effective Emails guide (See www.effectiveemails.paperviewer.co.uk ) Over the next few weeks we will be visiting this subject and giving you loads of free hints and tips to improve your business performance by email!
