Answer your mobile properly to impress your clients and prospects
How do you feel when you ring someone you want to do business with and they say “Who is it, who are you?” You are not impressed! Then you have to remind them that you met at the ‘whatever’ event.
But how do you feel when you ring someone you want to do business with and they say? “Hi (your name) how are you?” Straight away you feel valued and the initial barrier is broken – you are already good contacts!
The point is that all YOU need to do is put your contacts name and mobile number in your contact list. It is that easy – that is what it is for, but it is amazing the number of people who do not! You know what you know – but you dont know what you dont know!
Don’t destroy your business reputation from your ’sent’ box
Had a great example today that I am sure everyone will relate to:
A well known company sent a mass unpersonalised email out to an ‘Undisclosed Recipient’ list. It came from a name I had never heard from before, it had NO subject line and had a 1.1mb PDF file attached. Needless to say it went into my junk box and had no chance of getting past my 1-Second email attention span and they haven’t got a clue of the outcome of their email campaign.
It is amazing to think the number of people who write an email or try and create some content and then just send it out en-mass, then sit back and wait for the phone to ring! You might just as well throw your cash out of the window!

Welcome To The Digital Marketing Era
Put 100 Blackberry owners in a room together you would have 100 people who use their Blackberrys in different ways. They could probably do 100’s of things, but some would, some wouldn’t, some could and some just couldn’t! The reason is that we are all self taught on so many subjects. We learn things to a comfort level we choose. A bit like ski-ing, so many people learn to ski, they love it to bits, but get to a comfort level and will never go down a black run.
